Oops!
My husband just informed me that October 28 will make FOUR months not three months! Sorry, honey!
Our first blog
Welcome to our first blog! Thank you so much, Courtney for turning me on to this site. This is such a great idea and a wonderful way to stay in touch with everyone!
Life in Lafayette is going well.
Jack enjoys his job teaching and coaching at Crowley High School. He has three football games left. Unfortunately, they will not be going to the playoffs. He will he assistant coaching with the power lifting team and track team next.
My job is fine. I have been at the Rayne store now for about a month. Rayne is in the middle of Lafayette and Crowley. It's a nice, quiet town. The store isn't all that busy.
I have worked out my holidays with my assistants and I will be off for Thanksgiving and Christmas this year! This works out quite nicely for both of our families. We will go to Jack's parents in Mississippi on the weekends before each holiday and we will spend the actual holiday with my family. We plan to have Jack's daughters for Thanksgiving and Christmas break.
Jack and I will be married three months on October 28! Married life is so great. I could not have asked for a better man in my life.
Our parents: Jack's father had surgery in September. He had a tumor removed. He is doing chemo and radiation. Slowly but surely is getting his strength back. Jack and I are really anxious to see him at Thanksgiving. My dad is having trouble with his anti-depressants again. He switched to a different kind last week and that has reeked havoc on his system. Needless to say, it has been a stressful time for him as well as my mom. My mom is looking into finding him a psychiatrist to help him deal with his medicines. Please keep our parents in your prayers.
